Zhang Qiming is professor, doctoral supervisor, and subject leader with the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. While supported by Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University, Zhang also serves as secretary-general and adjunct chairman of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Engineering Committee of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering.  

In addition, he is head of the TCM Device Professional Group of the Medical Device Classification Technical Committee of the National Medical Products Administration, and member of the expert team of the Ministry of Science and Technology's 2018 key special project "Active Health and Scientific Response to Aging".
