Mao Xiaojun
Mao Xiaojun is a student of Professor Wang Wenyuan, the founder of Balance Acupuncture. Mao was born at Shanxian County, Shandong Province in September 1962. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and former deputy director and deputy chief physician of the Balance Acupuncture Department of the Seventh Medical Center.
He is also deputy chairman of the Acupuncture Committee of the PLA Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, chairman of the Balance Acupuncture Committee of the China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, deputy editor of the Chinese Balance Acupuncture and Moxibustion and Balance Medicine Journal, professor of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, a member of the Gastroenterology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and a member of the Liver Disease Branch of the Beijing Association of Chinese Medicine.
In 1985, he graduated from the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and began work in the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People's Hospital of Heze City, Shandong Province.
He studied for a master's degree in respiratory science in 1991 and a doctorate degree in digestion in 1993 at Dongzhimen Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. In 1996, he was officially transferred to the General Hospital of the Beijing Military Region as a scientific and technological talent.
He participated in the National 973 Basic Balance Acupuncture Theory Research Project, the National 11th Five-Year Technology Support Program "Balance Acupuncture in the Treatment of Hypertension", the 11th Five-Year Plan Project of the Beijing Military Region Health Department; the "Balance Acupuncture in the Treatment of Injuries Caused by Military Training" the 12th Five-Year Plan project of, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and in – "Balanced Acupuncture in National Clinical Collaboration" projects.
He also participated in the Beijing Military Region Fund Project, and served as editor-in-chief and co-editor of Clinical Handbook for Modern Chinese Medicine, Chinese Medicine Internal Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment, Chinese Medicine-Non-drug Therapy and other monographs. He has published more than 30 academic papers.
