Longmen Bridge, the longest cross-sea bridge in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, opened to traffic on Dec 29.

Spanning Maowei Sea and the Pinglu Canal, the bridge connects Longmengang town in Qinnan district to Qinzhou Port Area. It stretches approximately 7.6 kilometers with a two-way, six-lane, and first-class highway standard, designed for a speed of up to 100 kilometers per hour.

The opening of the Longmen Bridge significantly shortens the travel time between Fangchenggang Port and Qinzhou Port from 1.5 hours to 25 minutes.

The bridge's construction has led to a number of breakthroughs in research, technological innovation, and ecological protection, marking a milestone in Guangxi's transportation infrastructure.

It plays a vital role in connecting the Guangxi Coastal Expressway with the Pinglu Canal, establishing a comprehensive transportation network and driving regional high-quality development while supporting the construction of the New International Land-sea Trade Corridor.
