Guangxi takes key step in satellite industry with launch of Nanning-2
On May 20, using the Long March-2D carrier rocket at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, China launched the Beijing-3C satellite constellation, with all four satellites entering their designated orbits, marking a complete success for the launch mission.
This represents the 523rd flight of the Long March series. Among the payloads was the Nanning-2 satellite, becoming the second "Nanning Star" to grace the vast expanse of space.
This milestone signifies an important stride for Nanning in constructing a complete satellite remote sensing industry chain and geographical information industry ecosystem, accelerating the establishment of a hub for China-ASEAN geographical information and remote sensing services.
In the future, this development will better enable Nanning, Guangxi, and ASEAN to provide spatial information services, support the region and localities in fostering new productive forces, and drive the high-quality development of the commercial aerospace industry.
