Hechi maintains leading ecological environment quality in Guangxi
In 2023, the air quality in Jinchengjiang district, which is a central urban area of Hechi, was reported to have reached an excellent rate of 97.5 percent. The levels of particulate matter (PM2.5), ozone, and the comprehensive air quality index were ranked fourth, second, and fourth, respectively, in the region.
All 12 sections of the national surface water assessment met or exceeded the class III water quality standard with a 100 percent excellent rate. The surface water assessment ranked 15th nationally and 5th in Guangxi for environmental quality.
All 17 county-level centralized drinking water sources and all four municipal centralized drinking water sources met 100 percent of water quality standards. Additionally, Hechi achieved a 100 percent safe utilization rate of key construction land.
In the first quarter of this year, the city achieved an excellent air quality rate of 97.8 percent, ranking third in the region for the comprehensive air quality index.
The water quality of 12 national surface water assessment sections across five major rivers in the jurisdiction has met the class II water quality standard, achieving a 100 percent compliance rate. This outstanding performance has placed the environmental quality of the city's surface water assessment sections at the 14th position nationwide.
All four municipal centralized drinking water sources and 18 county-level centralized drinking water sources met water quality standards with a rate of 100 percent.
