The China (Guangxi) - Uzbekistan (Khorezm region) Economic and Trade Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Nanning on April 18. The event aimed to further expand the exchange and cooperation between Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan in the fields of economic and trade investment, agriculture, construction, textiles, and tourism.

Uzbekistan is a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and an essential participant in the joint construction of the the Belt and Road Initiative. With abundant mineral resources and a broad market space, Uzbekistan is also an important trading partner for China in Central Asia.

Guangxi and the Khorezm region, with their diverse resource endowments and strong industrial complementarity, present a promising landscape for cooperation, offering mutual benefits and enormous potential.

Leveraging the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and the construction of cross-border industrial parks, the China-ASEAN Industrial Cooperation Zone, and the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Guangxi is accelerating the establishment of a convenient domestic and international dual-cycle market operation, bringing new opportunities for deepening cooperation between Guangxi and Khorezm.
