The first batch of exhibition items for the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) arrived at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center on Aug 30, after being inspected and granted entry by Nanning Customs.

The 576 exhibition items, imported from Malaysia, were recently cleared through the Qinzhou Port for entry. The products weigh 6.2 metric tons and consist of 35 different product categories such as coffee, biscuits, chili sauce and moisturizer.

Yang Yujie of Yongzhou Customs said that this year's inbound exhibition items for the CAEXPO will enjoy fast clearance through the integrated customs model. The customs office has also provided a "one-stop" service for the 24-hour clearance, supervision, and consultation of these items.

In addition, Qinzhou Port Customs has set up a dedicated customs clearance channel for goods involved in the CAEXPO, which includes the safety and rapid clearance of the exhibition items.

"This year marks the 20th anniversary of the CAEXPO, and the number of inbound exhibition items has increased significantly compared to the past, with more complex varieties," said Lei Hui of a local international logistics company.

Lei added that with the guidance of the customs authorities, logistics companies are now able to complete the entire process from declaration to release in just one hour.
