The 2022 Guangxi Modern Commerce, Trade, and Logistics Industrial Development Forum was held on Nov 22 in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

"Domestic leading enterprises and industrial associations in the modern commerce, trade, and logistics industries are welcomed to invest in Guangxi to share new business opportunities," said Zhang Xiaoqin, the vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional People's Congress.

Zhang noted that attracting investment in the modern commerce, trade, and logistics industries, as well as forming an efficient, safe, and smooth service system are beneficial to reducing logistics costs, improving operation efficiency, and creating more job opportunities.

Yang Chunting, the director of the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said that Guangxi has been optimizing commerce, trade, and logistics infrastructure construction in recent years. As a result, a batch of large-scale industrial parks and enterprises with strong core competitiveness has been built.

Yang added that the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the accelerated construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor have brought rare development opportunities for Guangxi's modern commerce, trade, and logistics industries.

Twenty-one projects with a contracted investment volume of 8.6 billion yuan ($1.2 billion) were signed during the event, which are expected to speed up the construction of Guangxi's advantageous industries.
