The 3rd ASEAN-China TV Week commenced in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Oct 27, casting eyes on fruitful results achieved through deepened cooperation in areas such as radio and television between China and ASEAN countries despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lasting till Nov 2, this year's event is jointly hosted by the National Radio and Television Administration, the Laos Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICT) and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Nie Chenxi, head of the National Radio and Television Administration, said that China and ASEAN have maintained productive cooperation in areas spanning radio and television broadcasting, content creation and talent cultivation, especially with young hosts from China and ASEAN who overcame difficulties brought by the COVID-19 pandemic to attend the ASEAN-China Youth Hosts Camp.

Nie noted that China is willing to team with ASEAN countries to boost the interflow of radio and television programs and make more contributions to the building of a closer community with a shared future for mankind.

The closing ceremony of the ASEAN-China Youth Hosts Camp was also held during the event, which has gathered 20 hosts from countries such as China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia since August.

They have showcased a charming China by promoting the country's outcomes and experience in the sectors such as rural revitalization, distinctive industries' development, and ethnic unity cultural communication.

Excellent television programs such as a documentary marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of dialogue relations between China and ASEAN, and the translated version of the popular TV series "Minning Town" will debut on mainstream media and online platforms in China and ASEAN countries.
