A promotional fair for Guangxi's investment environment, part of a series of events held in the region for a delegation of young people from Taiwan, was held on June 18 in Nanning.

"The Cross-Straits Industrial Cooperation Zone in Guangxi is the first of its kind to be set up by China and benefits from an abundance of local resources and preferential policies. I suggest that young people from Taiwan seek more development opportunities here," said Lee Cheng-hung, president of the Association of Taiwan Investment and Enterprises on the Mainland.

Qiu Debin, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said that China's work setting up the Cross-Straits Industrial Cooperation Zone not only met demand among Taiwan investors for a stable development environment but also provided more opportunities for Taiwan investors to explore markets in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Qiu added that Guangxi is striving to play a bigger role in expanding China-ASEAN cooperation and the high-quality construction of the Belt and Road, making it an ideal place for Taiwan investors to locate their businesses.
