The 18th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) bulletin has been released, officials from the CAEXPO Secretariat announced on June 17.
The event will take place from Sept 10 to 13 both online and on-site at Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Covering a total exhibition area of 104,000 square meters, the event will include five special exhibition areas for sectors such as commodity trade, investment cooperation and advanced technologies.
Officials said that this year's event will be of great significance, as the year 2021 marks the China-ASEAN Year of Sustainable Development and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of relations between China and ASEAN.
It is expected that the 18th CAEXPO will elevate China-ASEAN friendly cooperation to a new level, creating a new historical starting point and helping to boost China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation in the post-pandemic era.
Themed around increasing mutual political trust, a series of activities will be held during the 18th CAEXPO, such as the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brunei, and the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos.
Efforts are now being devoted to attracting exhibitors and investors to this year's CAEXPO. For example, the first online promotion fair for the 18th China-ASEAN Expo was held in May by CAEXPO Secretariat and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation. It attracted the participation of more than 150 Malaysian companies.
