Baise steps up construction of ASEAN-facing medical cooperation platform

Baidong Hospital, situated in the Baise pilot zone for advancing China's economic opening-up in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, is scheduled to open on July 1 after a construction period of nearly three years.

The hospital is located in Baise Life Health City, which covers a total area of nearly 1,170 mu (78 hectares). The city, being built at a cost of around 6.3 billion yuan ($980.2 million), includes comprehensive hospitals, specialized hospitals, and communities for senior citizens. 

It is expected that the city will become a new platform for medical exchanges and cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN.
