Yang Chunting, director of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region's Investment Promotion Agency, led a delegation of representatives from cities such as Baise, Laibin and Hechi to visit 16 companies in the Yangtze River Delta region from May 9 to 16.
A batch of cooperation intention agreements were signed, aimed at optimizing Guangxi's construction of industrial chains.
Shen Fengfei, chairman of Huacheng Group, a private company based in Zhejiang, said that Guangxi is one of the major sites for the company in terms of where it's looking to place its investment, and it will organize working groups to speed up the creation of a business complex focused on the sheep industry in Guangxi's Laibin.
The delegation also visited places such as the Hangzhou Institute of Innovative Medicine of Zhejiang University, PTM Bio and Hangzhou Brother Bio-Technology in order to carry out business talks on promoting investment cooperation in major industries such as biomedicine.
Yang spoke highly of the achievements made by Shaoxing in Zhejiang province in developing its integrated circuit industry and boosting the development of the local electronic information industry.
He suggested that Guangxi and Shaoxing could conduct more exchanges and cooperation in sectors such as the precise and deep processing of aluminum, and textiles and garments, as Guangxi enjoys abundant nonferrous metal resources.
During the seminar with Shanghai Electricity Group, Yang suggested that the group can set Guangxi, especially Baise, as its main target area when expanding businesses such as new energy and high-end equipment manufacturing. More investment can be put into whole industrial chain projects in Guangxi including the deep processing of aluminum and equipment manufacturing.
