Latest population results for Guangxi released

Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region is home to a population of 50,126,804 people, accounting for 3.55 percent of the total in the Chinese mainland, officials announced during a news conference held by State Council Information Office on the outcome of the seventh national population census on May 11. 

Among the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China, two have a registered population of more than 100 million, while nine have a population between 50 million and 100 million, including Guangxi.
