Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region will send a delegation to the third Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT), which will be held in Chongqing municipality from May 25 to 28, officials from the Investment Promotion Agency of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region said on May 10.

Guangxi has been invited to participate in the fair as the Guest Autonomous Region of Honor and is expected to carry out in-depth cooperation with areas in Southwest China such as Chongqing, attracting more domestic and overseas investment and bolstering construction on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

Connections between Guangxi and areas in Southwest China, including Chongqing, have become closer thanks to the land-sea trade corridor and convenient transport.

The exhibition area for Guangxi will be located in the N2 Hall of the Chongqing Conventional Expo Center and will cover a total area of 598 square meters.

It will be divided into eight areas showcasing many aspects of Guangxi, including the land-sea trade corridor, the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port and the China-ASEAN Information Harbor.

Outstanding companies from Guangxi such as SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) and Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group will also bring their distinctive products to the event.

Guangxi will also hold a promotional fair during the event to aid in the construction of the land-sea trade corridor and boost development in West China. Representatives from the top 500 companies in Southwest China, industrial leading companies and business associations will be invited to attend the fair.

Efforts will be made to attract investment in key industries such as digital economy, equipment manufacturing, modern logistics, international trade, biomedicine and new materials.
