Guangxi to build research center for giant pandas

Two commercial land plots located in Nama town, Liangqing district, Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region are being planned to be transferred and built into a tourist resort that integrates business, residences, cultural tourism, and entertainment. Among which, a conservation and research center for giant pandas will be built.
The two plots cover an area of more than 760 mu (50.67 hectares) with approved uses including recreational and sports, commercial, as well as residential.
The land transfer has put forward strict requirements on the qualifications of bidders. The bidder must have a registered capital of no less than 500 million yuan ($71.3 million) and mainly engages in the planning, construction, and management of super-large tourist resorts. The core management team must have successful experience in operating and managing first-class large-scale scenic spots.
Most importantly, the bidder must also sign an agreement with the Chinese Conservation Research Center for Giant Pandas to jointly build the Guangxi base of the research center for giant pandas.
