The commencement and completion ceremony of major projects of Liuzhou in the first quarter of 2020 was held in Liudong New District, Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Feb 25.

According to the Guangxi government's requirements for economic development while implementing novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control measures, Liuzhou has actively organized the resumption and production of major projects. As of Feb 24, 78 of the total 87 autonomous region-level major projects under construction in the city have resumed work, with the number of resumed projects ranking first among 14 cities in the region.

A total of 17 major projects were announced to begin or complete construction at the ceremony, with total investment of about 11.95 billion yuan ($17.03 million). Among them, 12 projects worth 10.174 billion yuan have started, while five projects worth about 1.78 billion yuan have been completed.
