Starting June 20, citizens in Baise, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region are able to use their cellphones to handle matters such as hotel check-in, government affairs, and purchasing tickets after registering to open their CTID.

CTID, also known as cyber technology identity card, realizes the online application of a resident's ID card based on the Ministry of Public Security's national citizen cyber technology platform. Residents can apply for a CTID by scanning the mini applet code of WeChat provided by the public security organ on their mobile phone.

Baise is a pilot city for the use of the Ministry of Public Security's CTID platform. To date, CTID terminals have been officially launched in more than 500 hotels in Baise, marking Baise as the first city in Guangxi to use CTID.

With the CTID, residents do not need to carry their ID cards. As long as the devices scan the QR code of CTID, procedures for verification will be easily handled, such as checking in at a hotel and the real-name system of Internet cafes.
