Major projects of Beibu Gulf Economic Zone progressing smoothly
The construction of major projects in Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has proceeded in an orderly manner since the beginning of this year, effectively promoting the economic zone as it maintains a good momentum of development.
The economic operation of the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone has remained stable. In the first three quarters, the main economic indicators showed a warmer trend than the first half of the year.
The GDP growth rate of the six cities in the economic zone was 7.3 percent; the fiscal revenue increased by 10 percent; the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.8 percent; the fixed asset investment increased by 10.3 percent; and imports and exports increased by 3.5 percent.
Breakthroughs have been made in the construction of landmark projects such as Qinzhou Port East Channel and Qinzhou Port East Station Container Handling Station.
A number of major projects were put into operation or started construction, including HKC Intelligent Terminal Industry Cluster Phase I, Huayi Chemical New Materials Integrated Base and Foxconn's 100 billion yuan Electronic Information Industry Park.
In addition, major port infrastructure projects are making good progress, including the Qinzhou 300,000-ton oil terminal and Qinzhou 200,000-ton container terminal.
According to preliminary arrangements, Beibu Gulf Economic Zone will promote a number of major industrial and infrastructure projects in 2019, highlighting the funding of major projects.
