Guangzhou algorithm competition accelerates digital economy development

This competition is mainly organized by the Guangzhou municipal people's government. With the slogan of "Optimize AI algorithms, make the world smarter," the competition has set up five categories.
The competition's registration process, preliminary rounds, semi-final rounds, finals, and award ceremony will be held both online and offline. From April 25 to June 30, participants will register and submit their works through the official website. In early July, online material reviews will take place for the preliminary round of the competition. The next round will also take place online in late July. In August, the finals will be held.
At the opening ceremony, Zhang Jingzhong, a computer scientist and mathematician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a speech. Ni Guangnan, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Engineering; and Wang Haifeng, chief technology officer of Baidu Group, also delivered speeches via video.

Sun Fuchun, vice president of the Chinese Society for Artificial Intelligence and the director of the Intelligent Robot Center of Tsinghua University's Institute of Artificial Intelligence, delivered a speech on industrial leadership and the new generation of robots.
In addition, Xiao Nong, dean of the School of Computer Science of Sun Yat-sen University, introduced the competition's planning progress to those attending. The competition organizers have also issued letters of appointment for the jury.
An AI innovation achievement exhibition was also available at the opening ceremony, where Pazhou Lab, Baidu, China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, and iFlytek displayed their latest products.
