A salon to encourage young students from Hong Kong and Macao to move to Guangzhou's Nansha district took place in the district on Aug 5.
During the event, Hong Kong and Macao students visited Nansha's advantageous industries and listened to stories shared by young people from the two areas related to innovation and entrepreneurship in Nansha.
Harry Hung from Hong Kong now works at the administrative bureau of Nansha Industrial Park after graduating from Tsinghua University. Hung noted that Nansha has a comfortable and pleasant living environment, and most of his happiness comes from running, climbing or shopping in the district.
Currently, Nansha is home to 273 Hong Kong and Macao entrepreneurial teams as well as 11 youth entrepreneurial bases, and the district has launched 10 new supportive policies, offering incentives and subsidies of up to 3.7 million yuan ($547,369) to young people from the two areas.
