The two-day Darwin International Virtual Trade Show 2022 was held from June 22 to 23, gathering 109 enterprises from 11 international friendship cities of Darwin, capital of Australia's Northern Territory.

Sixty-two of the enterprises came from three Chinese cities, namely Guangzhou, Qingdao and Haikou. The show is expected to contribute to deeper Sino-Australia economic and trade cooperation and more vitality in Sino-Australia relations, as the year 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Guangzhou Mayor Guo Yonghang was invited to attend the show's opening ceremony and deliver a welcoming address.

The show has provided an excellent chance for Darwin's friendship cities to boost communication and cooperation, fully showcasing Darwin's wish to promote mutually-beneficial cooperation among the cities, said Guo.

Guo expressed his hope that global cities will enhance communication, share experiences and carry out more cooperation to jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind and create a better world for humanity.
