Leading energy equipment supplier to boost Zhaoqing's development
Leading Chinese logistics and energy equipment supplier China International Marine Containers (Group) Ltd signed an agreement with Zhaoqing on May 28, declaring their intention to invest in a series of projects in the city to help promote its sustainable and high-quality development.
The Shenzhen-headquartered company said it plans to pour billions of yuan into the city, one of the nine mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Under the new agreement, the two parties will work together in a number of areas, including finding innovative ways of transporting bulk cement, intelligent pig-raising, liquefied natural gas (LNG) energy supply, firefighting equipment upgrades, and the construction of modular buildings.
Lyu Yuyin, mayor of Zhaoqing, said the signing of the agreement will propel the high-quality development of logistics transportation and the new energy industry, as well as promoting rural revitalization in the area, providing a strong foundation for the city to boost its green development and play a bigger role in the GBA.
The local government will strive to create a sound business environment and help solve any problems that emerge during the project construction process, paving the way for its rapid and smooth development, he said.
Mai Boliang, chairman and CEO of CIMC, said he believes the cooperation will help Zhaoqing achieve industrial upgrades and high-quality development at a faster pace.
