Themed "Lovely Cities & Greater Health," 2020 Zhuhai Design Week will encompass an award, expo, academic exhibitions, keynote dialogues, and exchanges, it was announced at a Nov 20 news conference.

Major activities take place Dec 4 to 6 at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center in Shizimen. Covering nearly 15,000 square meters, seven academic exhibitions and a design expo will show some 10,000 original works by more than 100 design brands at home and abroad. These include Chinese high-tech companies Huawei and Xiaomi, and cultural creative brands Luckyeh! and Ceramic Art.

The 2020 Zhuhai Design Award will be presented along with release of the 2020 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Design Capability Yearbook. A plaque for the Zhuhai Design Center, constructed by core design forces from Beijing, Hong Kong, and Macao and operated by Huafa Group, will also be unveiled.  

The event will focus on industrial innovation in the Greater Bay Area, health and future life, and sustainable development. It is intended to fast forward transformation of scientific and technological innovations, advance industry upgrades, and vitalize the real economy in the Greater Bay Area, according to the organizer.

Initiated in 2018, Zhuhai Design Week has become one of the most influential events in its field in the Greater Bay Area. The previous two events attracted more than 1,000 top professionals from 20 countries and regions, and 70,000 visitors.
