The World Cup House for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup opened at Wanda Plaza in Foshan's Nanhai district, South China's Guangdong province on Aug 3.
The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be held from Aug 31 to Sept 15 across eight Chinese cities, namely Beijing, Nanjing in Jiangsu province, Shanghai, Wuhan in Hubei province, as well as Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, and Guangzhou in Guangdong province.
Foshan will host 10 matches covering the group stage and the knockout stage of Group D, which consists of Italy, Serbia, Angola, and the Philippines.

As a micro basketball museum, the World Cup House not only introduces the history of basketball and the stories of basketball stars, but also provides fans with interactive activities and basketball performances.
In addition, the Naismith Trophy, a trophy awarded to the men's champion of the FIBA Basketball World Cup and named in honor of basketball's inventor, James Naismith, will be exhibited around Foshan from Aug 14-16. It will be on display at the World Cup House on the last day.

The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup is the first world-class basketball event ever held in Foshan. Characteristic elements of the city will be seen through the competition. Foshan has its own logo for the event, which was inspired by the archway of the Ancestral Temple in the city. In addition, various cultural activities, such as lion dance and martial arts performances will be staged.
