Zhanjiang holds symposium to mark 100th anniversary of May Fourth Movement
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement and the city of Zhanjiang held a special symposium on May 5 to commemorate the anti-imperialist cultural and political movement.
Zheng Renhao, Party chief of Zhanjiang, attended the symposium and called on Zhanjiang youth to inherit and carry forward the spirit of the May Fourth Movement, as well as make contributions to the development of Zhanjiang.
At the symposium, eight young representatives from various fields shared their youthful course of overcoming struggle in making their career choices. Zheng listened carefully to the speeches, which displayed the vigorous morale and vitality of Zhanjiang's young people in the new era. The Party chief expressed hope that young people can follow these outstanding representatives and strive to create excellence.
