Driving global scientific collaboration: Vision for innovation in GBA

On Dec 24, Michael Ong, chairman of Guangzhou Laureates City Investment and Development Company, visited the secretariat of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum, accompanied by officials from the Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau.

The secretariat highlighted the achievements of the 2024 GSF and its future plans. Discussions focused on the operations of Guangzhou Laureates City Investment and Development Company, China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Investment and Development Company, while the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings focused on enhancing international cooperation.

The secretariat also expressed a desire to attract global scientific organizations to Nansha, aiming to concentrate advanced technologies and top intellectual resources in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area. It also plans to emulate the Lindau model by promoting young Chinese scientists on international platforms, fostering globally competitive research talent.

This initiative aims to facilitate the exchange of scientific talent and to amplify the Greater Bay Area's voice in global scientific innovation.
