Wang Shouyang
Wang Shouyang, is director of the Center for Forecasting Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is also a distinguished research fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a distinguished professor of the Changjiang Scholars Award Program of the Ministry of Education, a recipient of the National Foundation for Distinguished Young Scientists, TWAS member, a member of the International Academy of Systems and Control, and a fellow of the Asia-Pacific Society for Industrial Engineering and Management. He is also the editor-in-chief, executive editor, associate editor or editorial board member of 12 European and American academic journals, including the internationally renowned journal Energy Economics.
His research focuses on decision theory, financial systems engineering, logistics and supply chain management, response and conflict analysis, and economic analysis and forecasting. He has published 44 academic monographs (including 22 English monographs in Europe and America) and more than 430 papers in important international journals, including more than 400 SCI/SSCI indexed papers and more than 16,500 SCI/SSCI other citations. More than 160 of his policy research reports have received important instructions from state leaders, and many of his policy recommendations have been adopted by government decision-making departments. Wang has received seven first-class, 11 second-class and five third-class prizes in the Science and Technology Progress Awards (Natural Science Awards) of provincial ministries and commissions.
