Zhan Wenlong

Zhan Wenlong is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a researcher at the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He currently serves as a member of the Social Development Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress, chairman of the Chinese Physical Society, and director of the Advanced Energy Science and Technology Guangdong Laboratory. He also serves as the overall commander of the China Initiative Accelerator Driven System (CiADS) and the High-Intensity Heavy-ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) projects, which are major national scientific and technological infrastructure projects of the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-15).
