Established in 2001, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) has seen enhanced political mutual trust, improved security cooperation, fruitful outcomes in practical cooperation and closer cultural and people-to-people exchanges among its member states after more than two decades of development. China assumed the rotating presidency of the SCO after the Astana Summit in July 2024. Centered on the theme of the "SCO Year of Sustainable Development" and guided by the slogan "Upholding the Shanghai Spirit: SCO on the Move," China will hold over 100 meetings and events, striving to host a friendly, united and fruitful SCO summit.
