Zhangye has launched its 2025 to 2026 winter-spring cultural tourism season and inaugurated the Qilian Mountain Ski Resort, attracting hundreds of skiers.

Under fluttering snowflakes, professional coaches demonstrate advanced techniques on various slopes, while skiers equipped with new gear enjoy the freshly groomed runs.

The resort features beginner and intermediate trails, a snow tubing lane, and a children's area, totaling about 1.5 kilometers. Facilities include a 300-meter conveyor belt and a 700-meter chairlift, with multiple new recreational activities and amenities added for visitors' enjoyment this season.

Following comprehensive upgrades, the resort has introduced new rental equipment, including 800 sets of ski suits, 400 helmets, 400 goggles, and 300 personal protective sets. At an elevation from 2,830 to 3,200 meters, the resort is marketed as a high-altitude ecological ski destination.

The event also introduced preferential tourism policies and themed travel routes for the season, aiming to boost winter tourism and foster integrated development of culture, tourism, sports, and commerce.
