Economy
Fujian province's gross domestic product (GDP) reached 5.31 trillion yuan ($786.11 billion) in 2022, up 4.7 percent from that in 2021, and the province has set a GDP growth target of around 6 percent for 2023.
In 2023, the province's investment in fixed assets increased by 2.5 percent, total retail sales of social consumer goods increased by 5 percent.
Administrative divisions
Fujian province governs nine cities with subordinate districts including Fuzhou, Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Quanzhou, Sanming, Putian, Nanping, Longyan, and Ningde, as well as a comprehensive experimental zone in Pingtan, 11 county-level cities, 31 urban districts and 42 counties (including Jinmen county).
