According to the Zhoushan branch of China Post Group Co, Zhoushan handled a total of 15.2 million parcels from Oct 21 to Nov 13, an increase of 2 million compared to the same period last year, with parcel deliveries reaching a peak of 820,000 in a single day.

This year's Singles Day shopping season led to a peak in traffic for Zhoushan's logistics industry, with three distinct waves of delivery surges. The first two peaks occurred in late October and early November, while the third began on Nov 11 and is expected to continue until Nov 15.

At the processing center of the Zhoushan branch of China Post Group Co, tens of thousands of packages are being efficiently unloaded from transport vehicles and placed onto automated sorting lines. Staff are working to scan and load the parcels, ensuring timely delivery to various courier outlets.

According to Gao Feng, manager of the delivery operations management department of the Zhoushan branch of China Post Group Co, the daily business volume during this peak period has reached 100,000 parcels, a 50-percent increase from normal levels and about 20 percent higher than the previous year.

To manage the rapidly growing volume and meet increasing delivery speed demands, logistics centers across Zhoushan have optimized vehicle deployment and enhanced intelligent sorting systems, creating an efficient delivery network.
