The 2024 China Daishan Island International Kite Festival will take place at the Lulan Qingsha scenic area in Daishan county, Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, from Oct 19 to 20.

The event will feature over 200 participants from more than 20 domestic teams and over 10 international teams.

The opening ceremony of the 2024 China Daishan Island International Sports Kite Competition is also set for Oct 19 at the Lulan Qingsha scenic area, which will mainly focus on events, including exhibition matches for both modern and traditional kites.

The competition will feature events such as the dual-line team kite ballet and the quad-line team kite ballet.

According to the schedule of the competition, it will also host the 2024 National Kite Championship and the China Sport Kite League Championship. These events are some of the most popular and competitive kite activities in the country and offer both a thrilling and visually captivating experience for spectators.

Located on the northern part of Daishan Island, Lulan Qingsha scenic area is known as the longest beach in East China for its extensive beaches and vast seascapes.
