The International Men's Basketball Challenge 2024 concluded in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province on Aug 22, delivering three days of riveting basketball matches and offering a memorable sporting spectacle for fans.

The challenge featured three professional teams — the Zhejiang Golden Bulls, the Golden Sands, and the Serbia Lions.

Many residents from across the city attended the games. With Zhoushan hosting more high-level basketball events in recent years, local basketball fans have had more opportunities to attend international sports events in person.

Lu Wenbo, a player for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls, returned to his hometown to play for the first time in nine years, which also marked his first competition since competing in the Paris Olympics.

Lu expressed his delight at seeing the significant progress in Zhoushan's sports infrastructure, including improved training environments and facilities. He said he hopes the city will continue to host more basketball events.

The Zhejiang Golden Bulls, which represented Zhejiang province in the National Games and secured first place in the regular season and runner-up in the finals of the 2022-23 Chinese Basketball Association season, delivered outstanding performances throughout the challenge.
