A total of 16 out of the 48 seafood stalls in the famous Shenjiamen fishing port in Zhoushan have seen an increase in their star-ratings, with one getting a four-star rating and 15 gaining three-star ratings.
Previously indifferent to star ratings, stall operators now acknowledge the importance people place on them.
One stall operator noted a rising customer demand for superior dining experiences, which prompted a shift towards providing higher-quality services. As consumer experiences directly impact profits, the pursuit of star ratings has become an important focus of restaurateurs.
Despite four rounds of evaluations, the coveted "five-star stall" has yet to emerge, serving as a future target for improvement.
Market regulators have pledged closer support to aid stall operators in enhancing services, improving environments, and elevating the overall quality of the Shenjiamen Seafood Stalls, further enhancing its reputation as a culinary hotspot.
