The under-construction Qinglongmen Grand Bridge in Zhoushan recently resembled a dragon frolicking in the East China Sea, local media reported on July 15.
The west approach bridge foundation, composed of 41 steel pipe piles, looked like a massive dragon skeleton, making for a spectacular sight.
The bridge is a critical part of the second phase of the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port Liuheng Highway Bridge project. It spans the Qinglongmen Channel, connecting Fodu Island and Meishan Island.
The bridge stretches 5.86 kilometers and has a double main span of 756 meters, making it the world's longest triple-tower steel box girder cable-stayed bridge. It features a semi-floating system design and a vase-shaped main tower.
Despite the high temperatures and scorching heat, the bridge workers remain dedicated, showcasing their commitment through their hard work and enthusiasm.
