Four places from Zhoushan were recently listed among 50 cool summer getaways in East China's Zhejiang province.

The list, consisting of 14 summer resorts, 14 oxygen bars and 22 healthcare villages, was jointly released by the Zhejiang Climate Center and the Zhejiang Meteorological Service Center.

Two Zhoushan places - Liangzhi village of Qushan town in Daishan county and Huaniao Island in Shengsi county - were among the summer resorts listed.

Surrounded by mountains on three sides, Liangzhi village has been recognized as a provincial demonstration village for fishery culture. Huaniao Island, which boasts stunning views of a bioluminescent bay, was listed as a provincial 5A scenic area in 2021.

The 25-kilometer-sky corridor in Zhoushan's Dinghai district, which runs through five mountains and surrounds Dinghai bay, was listed among the oxygen bars.

Xinluotou village in Dinghai district was shortlisted as a healthcare village due to its cool climate and fresh air. 

Unveiling cool summer getaways is part of efforts to promote the integrated development of industries such as meteorology, agriculture, tourism and healthcare, which will in turn aid the rural vitalization and common prosperity drive, according to authorities.
