The prehistorical ruins blend in with croplands and some relics unearthed from these sites are similar to the Huangjiatai ruins in Shengsi county, but some of them are completely unique among Zhoushan ruins, according to Zhu Xuefei, a staff member of the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology.

Previously, only four ancient ruins had been discovered in Daishan, and the newly-discovered ruins are important to archaeological research in Zhoushan, noted Zhu.
