Zhoushan is set to be lit up by a sea of light sticks on the night of May 19. 

Setting out from Lianhuayang Park, Putuo district, a night run will see fluorescent-clad participants run a 6.5-kilometer coastal route while waving glow sticks. 

The event, sponsored by the Zhoushan municipal bureau of culture and radio, television, tourism and sports, marks China Tourism Day, which falls on May 19 annually.

Participation numbers are capped at 260. All participants should be local residents aged between 8 and 60.

Runners will be required to wear face masks and display their health codes. 

The run will take place from 18:00 to 21:00.
