Yu Fengjie, a girl from Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, stood out with her unique charm and beauty by winning the Best Image Award at the 13th Miss Globalcity Pageant in late October in Jinan, capital of Shandong province.

"This is the first time for me to take part in a beauty contest. I won the Hangzhou Division and broke into the final on behalf of my hometown Zhoushan,"said Yu. 

Having graduated from a vocational and technical education school in Putuo district, Zhoushan, Yu is now studying tourism at the Hangzhou Polytechnic, and has been actively participating in various contests and activities.

Speaking of her hometown, Yu warmly introduced the city and extended her wishes for the world to learn more about it. 

"Zhoushan boasts one of the four top fishing ports in the world, and if you visit, you will linger on for its relaxing environment and fresh air surrounding the sea," said Yu. 

The Miss Globalcity Pageant, initiated in 1989, is now one of the five top beauty contests in the world, with participants coming from more than 100 countries and 200 regions.
