The second International Petroleum and Natural Gas Enterprises Conference will take place in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, from Oct 17 to 19, according to a press conference released by Zhejiang provincial government on Oct 10. 

Co-hosted by the provincial government and China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Zhejiang FTZ), the conference is themed upon promoting cooperation in the petroleum and natural gas industry among countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative for mutual benefits.

It carries a purpose of presenting to enterprises at home and abroad the achievements that Zhejiang FTZ has made in developing the full industrial chain of petroleum and natural gas, so to attract more investment in the region's oil industry. 

The conference surpasses the first one held in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, last year, in both the number and the level of guests to attend. 

Senior representatives of 266 enterprises will be present, including eight of the top ten global oil companies such as Saudi Arabian Oil Company and Exxon Mobil Corporation, the top ten global petrochemical companies, major global commodities exchanges and energy research institutes, as well as domestic oil giants such as China National Petroleum Corporation and Sinopec, and the nation's five State-run oil traders. 

Several key projects will also be signed at the conference, together with a series of keynote speeches and forums.
