From January to June, China Textile City in Shaoxing recorded a total transaction value of 197.09 billion yuan ($27.43 billion), marking a 9.38 percent year-on-year increase.

"Thanks to our efforts in fabric development, fashion design, and brand building, Keqiao textile companies and merchants are tapping into new high-end global markets," said an authority with the administrative committee of China Textile City.

Keqiao has established a textile new materials center in the core area of China Textile City. The center features shared business areas and relaxation zones, managed by a professional team that regularly hosts upstream and downstream matchmaking events. So far, 12 leading chemical fiber companies have signed up.

Keqiao has also organized 48 fashion events. "We will also take enterprises to showcase fabrics and hold exchange meetings at this year's Milan Fashion Week," added the authority.
