A traditional post office in Lun Xun Native Place has expanded its business scope to attract more young people, local media reported on Nov 12.

"We were anxious at the decreasing visitors," said Tu Weiwei, a staff member at the post office. "Then we looked into the Panda-themed post office in Chengdu and the Red Boat-themed post office in Jiaxing, deciding to change our business mode."

The post office now offers coffee, milk tea, and desserts on the first floor. Cultural creativity products featuring Shaoxing's history are on sale on the second floor.

Tu said the transformation was a great success. During the previous National Day holiday, they received over 1,000 visitors every day and the highest daily revenue reached 10,000 yuan ($1,564).

According to the Shaoxing branch of China Post, more themed post offices will be opened in Zhuji, Xinchang, and Shengzhou.
