Founded in 1965, Shaoxing Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital is a national 3A-grade maternity and child healthcare hospital.

With an area of 2.83 hectares and a floor area of 85,100 square meters, the hospital has 600 patient beds. It employs 846 staff members, 212 of whom have senior titles and 68 of whom have master's and doctoral degrees.

The hospital has outstanding advantages in disciplines and technologies. Its prenatal diagnosis is a key discipline supported by Zhejiang province and the perinatology discipline is jointly constructed by Zhejiang province and Shaoxing city. The hospital has two leading medical disciplines in Shaoxing – perinatology and ultrasound diagnostics of obstetrics and gynecology, as well as three municipal key disciplines – gynecology, pathology of obstetrics and gynecology, and neonatology.

The hospital's reproductive genetics laboratory is a public technology innovation platform in Shaoxing. The obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound team and child healthcare team are included in Shaoxing's key innovation team list.

Adhering to the concept of people-oriented service, the hospital has won many honors, including national advanced collective in the health system, national advanced unit in health and culture construction, and national demonstration hospital in improving medical services.
