Established in 1983, Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital of Zhuji is a national 3A-grade hospital with distinctive traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) features and clinical advantages in integrating TCM and Western medicine. It is also the teaching hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and the national standardized training base for TCM resident physicians and general practitioners.

Covering about 7.87 hectares, the hospital has two branches, Huandong and Jiyang, as well as 700 beds. It also has such advanced medical equipment as MRI, spiral CT, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter, breast molybdenum target machine, providing reliable data for clinical diagnosis.

The Huandong branch is newly built, with a floor area of 104,000 square meters. It has 23 clinical departments, 14 medical laboratories, 16 inpatient wards, and a well-equipped center for intensive care and blood purification.

The hospital's otolaryngology department is a key specialty constructed by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine during the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015) and a provincial TCM key specialty. The other three provincial TCM key specialties are the stroke, oncology and healthcare departments. The oncology and acupuncture rehabilitation departments are national rural TCM featured specialties.
