Shaoxing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), established in 1928, is a national 3A-grade comprehensive TCM hospital affiliated to Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and integrating Chinese and Western medicine, first aid, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation.

The hospital has 600 patient beds in 12 wards. It employs about 800 staff members, of whom 140 have senior titles.

It has 45 clinical departments, nine medical laboratories, and a spinal joint disease institute, advanced intensive care units (ICUs), a blood purification center and a medical center. The departments of traditional Chinese medicine orthopedics and spinal joint disease integrating Chinese and Western medicine are among provincial key disciplines of TCM, and the departments of cervical lumbar spondylosis, hepatology, nephrology and arthropathy are key provincial TCM specialties as well. The departments of TCM orthopedics, TCM internal medicine, TCM ophthalmology, spleen and stomach disease and TCM pediatrics are key municipal specialties.

Shaoxing Hospital of TCM is equipped with high-end medical facilities such as a spiral CT, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), color ultrasound, a fully automatic bio analysis machine and a bone mineral density instrument.

The hospital has a total of 86 provincial and municipal scientific research projects and has completed 56 identifications of scientific research results. It has also won 20 provincial TCM science and technology awards and 19 municipal science and technology progress awards.
