A group of "silver-haired" learners in Lishui, Zhejiang province, under the guidance of professional instructors, have been learning classic excerpts from Yueju Opera.

Commenting on their classes, the students expressed excitement.

"I'm always the first one in the classroom. I'm over 60 this year, and while my grandson is in college, I still have the chance to attend a 'college.' It's something to cherish!" said student Pan Shaoping.

The "university" Pan refers to is the Shankou Town Senior School, which has attracted 398 students, with the oldest being 80 years old. In addition to Yueju Opera classes, the school offers six courses including square dancing, drumming, and smartphone applications.

In the future, the school will continue to enrich its elderly education curriculum, maximizing the diverse learning needs of its elderly students by adding courses such as reading, calligraphy, seal engraving, and Chinese chess.
