The Lishui Economic and Technological Development Zone – located in Lishui city in East China's Zhejiang province – plans to establish a street that mainly sells imported commodities, local media reported.

With a total length of about 500 meters, the street will focus on the display, retail sales and wholesale of middle and high-end imported goods.

It is expected to become an import commodity distribution center that integrates business and commerce, leisure and entertainment, as well as culture and tourism.

The street will have blocks with different distinctive features – such as a European-style block that sells goods from Italy, Spain and France and a block that sells products from Serbia, Bulgaria and Middle East countries.

Lishui is home to about 415,000 overseas Chinese in 130 countries and regions. The street is expected to become a magnet that will attract these overseas Chinese back to the city to start businesses, according to officials.

The street is scheduled to open to public at the end of 2023.
