On March 2, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology published the latest data on the province's equipment manufacturing sector.

In 2021, the province's above-designated-sized equipment manufacturers (those with annual operating revenues of about $3.1 trillion or more) reported a record 4.0295 trillion yuan ($637.9 trillion) in total output, an increase of 22.9 percent from the year before.

The total output of the province's high-end equipment manufacturers stood at a record 2.113 trillion yuan in 2021, an increase of 21.6 percent over 2020.

The top four equipment manufacturing sectors in terms of output value were electric machinery, general equipment, telecommunications, and automobiles.
